Learn French in France: Social Life

The academic part of the day finishes at noon. After that there are walks, excursions in the afternoon; all voluntary and usually very enjoyable.

Obviously what's on offer varies from destination to destination. But you can be sure of a chance to see highlights of the area, some of the surrounding countryside, and to mix with the French and English fellow participants.

Evenings are just as fun. Chatting in the bar, games for those who wish and, at the end of the course, an impromptu entertainment full of the week's in-jokes where those with a taste for theatre amuse the rest of the party.

As you can see from the pictures, there's a wide age range, though the University of the Third Age crowd are particularly well represented.
